Can I learn Portuguese while staying in Coimbra?

Yes. The University of Coimbra offers several Portuguese courses for international students.

Portuguese courses offered at UC have fees. However, IMAE coordination is trying to coordinate with the International Relations Office to enrol IMAE students in an intensive Portuguese Course without fee charges (more information soon).
